Location, travelling and transports
The Colloquium will be held at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (
see "Venue"
). Porto is served by an International Airport with direct flights to several destinations.
The city of Porto is bathed by the river Douro and by the Atlantic Ocean. It is an old city, with interesting artistic and social activities, and valuable cultural and historical traditions. It has several attractions, including monuments, museums, concert halls and beautiful sights. The old part of the city is unique and has therefore been considered by UNESCO as World Heritage.
Porto was elected best European destination in 2012, 2014 and 2017

Porto is also known because of Port Wine, produced in the exquisite Douro region; a visit to the Port Wine cellars and a cruise along the river Douro are highly recommended. There are plenty of bars and restaurants where it is possible to try Portuguese wines, local and international cuisine.
